Nantucket lies 26 miles south of Cape Cod. Approaching Nantucket from the west, in Nantucket Sound, you will pass along the Cross Rip Channel which is between Cross Rip Shoal and Horseshoe Shoal. It is suggested that you stay withing the channel markers. You will pass Tuckernuck Shoal to your starboard as you approach the entrance to Nantucket Harbor, which is marked by the red and white "NB" buoy. Proceed down the channel Brant Point Lighhouse to starboard. Please observe the "Nowake" Buoys before the Brant Point Lighhouse. Nantucket Boat Basin is located on the western side of the harbor.
