Nantucket Harbor Location

For our guests that will not be arriving by boat, there are a number of convenient options to chose from when getting to the island. Nantucket Island is located 26 miles south of Cape Cod and is easily reached year-round by air or high-speed ferry.

For guests arriving by air and by sea, Nantucket is quite accessible. Many cities offer seasonal air travel to the island, including Boston, Providence, New York, and Washington D.C.
Nantucket By Ferry

Nantucket by Ferry

Hy-Line Cruises ferry service is available from the Ocean Street Dock in Hyannis, Massachusetts. Parking is available near the dock for a daily fee. Hy-Line Cruises operates a high-speed passenger service aboard the vessel Grey Lady, which takes approximately one hour. Reservations are recommended.
We discourage guests from bringing cars on island as our quaint, historic community is not designed for vehicle traffic. However, if you must bring a car, contact the Steamship Authority at South Street Dock in Hyannis. The car ferry takes two hours and 15 minutes and reservations are required.
