Getting To Nantucket Boat Basin

Nantucket lies just 26 miles south of Cape Cod. Once known mainly for its whaling port, Nantucket is now a popular destination amongst travelers longing for something more out of a vacation. Its beautiful landscape features magnificent beaches, windswept moors, salt marshes, and coastal dunes.

To get to Nantucket Boat Basin from the west, you'll pass along the Cross Rip Channel, which lies between Cross Rip Shoal and Horseshoe Shoal. It's best to stay within the channel markers during this part of your journey. As you enter Nantucket Harbor, you'll pass Tuckernuck Shoal on your starboard side. You'll also see a red and white "NB" bouy. Proceed down the channel with Brant Point Lighthouse to your starboard side. Please observe the "No Wake" buoys near Brant Point Lighthouse. Nantucket Boat Basin will be on the west side of the harbor.
